How much does a website cost?

It depends on what you need. All prices are total amounts. VAT is not charged. Ready-made template you set up yourself: 999 kr. Template with your branding: 7,900 kr once, or 3,900 kr setup + 499 kr/month including hosting and domain the first year (12-month minimum term). Templates come with a licence: one website for one business. Custom-built website: from 15,000 kr, with agreed rights to the source code. How long does it take to build a website?

A simple business website typically takes 3–5 weeks. An online store or web application takes 6–12 weeks, depending on scope. We set up a timeline together at the start, and you always know where we are in the process. See our services for more details.

What's the difference between a template and a custom-built website?

A Kodemagisk template is made by us, not a mass-market theme. You get a licence to use it. The licence covers one website for one business. The template and code belong to Kodemagisk; your texts, images and logo are yours. It gets you a professional website quickly and affordably, from 999 kr. A custom website is built from scratch for your business, from 15,000 kr. Rights, third-party licences and source-code handover are agreed before work starts so another developer can take over.

What's the difference between a website and a web application?

A website shows information — opening hours, services, contact forms. A web application does something — booking systems, customer portals, dashboards. Think of it as the difference between a brochure and a tool.

What technologies does Kodemagisk use?

We use Astro for websites (fastest on the market), Next.js for web applications, Sanity CMS for content management (Norwegian technology), and Tailwind CSS for design. Everything is built with TypeScript for safer code.

What is Sanity CMS and why use it?

Sanity is a Norwegian content system that lets you edit your website yourself — text, images, products — without knowing how to code. It's faster and more flexible than WordPress, and you don't have to worry about security holes and plugin updates.
