This is a demo project showing how a professional online store for the fashion industry can look and function — built with WordPress and WooCommerce.
The goal was to demonstrate that WordPress is still a solid option for businesses that want an online store with a low technical barrier and the ability to manage everything themselves.
What we built:
Custom design with Kadence — no off-the-shelf template, but a thoughtful design system tailored to the fashion industry. Dark colour palette, focus on large product images, and clean typography that lets the products speak for themselves.
Product catalogue with variants — sizes, colours and stock status managed through WooCommerce. Each variant has its own images, and customers can filter by size, colour and category.
Responsive design — mobile-friendly from the ground up. Product pages, cart and checkout work just as well on a phone as on desktop.
Category navigation — intuitive structure that lets visitors browse collections, styles and new arrivals without getting lost.
Image gallery — high-resolution product images with zoom functionality and multiple images per product.
Why WordPress for this project:
Not every online store needs a custom Next.js solution. For a fashion shop with 50–200 products and an owner who wants to update products themselves, WordPress + WooCommerce is still one of the most cost-effective choices — provided it's set up properly.
