NykiSmykki – online jewelry store

Client: NykiSmykki (demo)Launched: October 2026

Demo jewelry store built with Next.js 16: Norwegian consumer law, guest checkout, Stripe, numbered receipts and mobile-first filters.

NykiSmykki: jewelry on silk, logo and portrait with an earring

NykiSmykki is our second e-commerce demo. It runs on the same custom platform as ProStore Norway, but shows a completely different industry: jewelry for him and her, with its own brand, catalog and database.

It shows how one codebase can become several stores with different identities — and what an online store looks like when Norwegian consumer rules are built in from the start.

What we built:

Store and search Mobile-first design in warm ivory and gold, a hero with two crossfading backgrounds cropped separately for phone, tablet and desktop, categories for him and her, browsing by jewelry type, and filters, sorting and pagination that work as well on a phone as on desktop.

Checkout under Norwegian law The total with shipping and VAT sits right above the «Bestill med betalingsplikt» button, terms are accepted actively and their version is stored on the order. Guest checkout with a one-time e-mail code, or a customer account.

Bookkeeping, payments and stock Gap-free receipt numbers, orders that are cancelled instead of deleted, automatic cancellation of unpaid orders after 48 hours, and payment and stock updates in one database transaction with row locks.

Privacy and quality GDPR account deletion that keeps only what bookkeeping law requires, cookie consent, audit log and rate limiting. TypeScript throughout, more than 1,100 automated tests and PostgreSQL integration tests in CI.
